Set Knit Vest Sizes and Retail Packaging for an E-Commerce Range

Online shoppers rely on clear garment dimensions and consistent product presentation. Approve the knit vest sample, size information and individual pack together before production.

Build the size chart around the vest fit

Decide whether the vest is intended to layer over a shirt, fit close to the body or have a relaxed shoulder. Record finished chest, body length, shoulder, armhole, neckline and hem measurements, with a base size and grading for the offered range. Show the measuring method and tolerances, and check how the armhole and neckline feel over the intended underlayer. Do not rely only on generic size labels; publishable product dimensions should trace back to the approved garment specification.

Check the full size range and product photos

Review a representative sample and confirm the grade rules keep the neckline, shoulder and hem balanced across sizes. Measure the base sample, record actual values and review other sizes through samples or an agreed fit assessment. Photograph the vest consistently with the same styling, angle and garment state so customers can compare colours and product pages. If a size or fit changes after approval, update the online measurements and sample reference together rather than leaving conflicting information.

Specify the retail pack as part of the sample

State whether each vest should be folded, bagged, banded or packed with a particular insert, and provide the finished folded dimensions if storage or presentation depends on them. List the label and hangtag placement, colour identification and any included product card. Request a packed sample or clear photos that show the garment, label visibility and pack dimensions. Confirm who supplies printed materials, which artwork version is approved and whether a changed fold or bag affects carton planning.

Approve one complete e-commerce production reference

Keep the approved vest, size chart, colour references, labels, fold method and individual packing notes under one dated version. Review the garment and retail pack together so a change to one does not invalidate the other. Provide the quantity split, destination and required arrival date when requesting a quotation, and ask the supplier to identify included packing and delivery scope. Send WTBF the reference or tech pack and the agreed size and pack requirements to confirm the project-specific sample and production plan.
