Knitwear Sampling, Production & Shipping Lead Times

A knitwear delivery plan includes brief confirmation, material availability, sampling, approval, production, inspection, packing and transit. WTBF can arrange 3-day sampling and 7-day dispatch for eligible projects after details and materials are confirmed. The final schedule is agreed per order; dispatch is not the arrival date.

How long do knitwear sampling and bulk production take?

WTBF offers three-day sampling and seven-day dispatch for eligible projects after requirements and materials are confirmed. These options do not define the schedule for every order. Large projects require capacity-based planning that separates material readiness, sample approval, production, inspection and dispatch; estimated transport time is additional to the factory’s dispatch date.

Dispatch lead time means the agreed time to factory dispatch. It differs from the arrival date, which also depends on transport and destination handling.

Plan your order before sampling

01

Agree when the clock starts

Share a complete brief, quantity breakdown and material requirements. Confirm whether the selected yarn, colours and trims are available and whether development or sourcing is still needed. Ask for the sampling start date and the approved specification needed to release production; sending an initial inquiry does not start a confirmed production countdown.

02

Allow time for approval and production

Review measurements, appearance, labels and packing against the sample. Revisions and additional samples can change the production start. For large orders, confirm a capacity-based schedule and whether production or dispatch will be split into batches. Annual capacity of one million garments is not a promise that a million-piece order can ship in seven days.

03

Plan backwards from the arrival date

Provide the delivery country and the date goods need to arrive. Separate sample approval, production completion, inspection, dispatch and estimated transit in the order plan. Agree shipment arrangements and destination requirements before confirming your launch date. Recheck the schedule if quantities, materials or specifications change.

Questions about this manufacturing route

Are three-day samples available for every design?

No. Three-day sampling applies to eligible projects after requirements and materials are confirmed. New yarn sourcing, complex decoration or sample revisions can require a different schedule.

Does seven-day dispatch mean arrival in seven days?

No. Dispatch means goods leave the factory; transport and destination processing take additional time. Seven-day dispatch is also conditional, so confirm eligibility and the arrival plan for your specific order.

How should I schedule a large knitwear order?

Share the total quantity, style and colour breakdown and arrival requirements. WTBF reviews material availability and capacity before agreeing production and shipment milestones. Large orders need capacity planning rather than a blanket fast-track promise.
